10/07/2008 - Rock Common Quarry-Veolia letter now hand-delivered
Veolia have dropped a letter to part of The Parish. We have asked that it be delivered to the rest of the households, as we estimate that over 60% have been missed.
Within this letter is a repeated emphasis on West Sussex's 'need' for landfill should we accept waste from London. Please remember, Hampshire has no Landfill available to take London Waste-therefore they have not been required to !!
We will receive the additional information, for our further representations, once it has been validated by County. We are advised that it will soon be available for public scrutiny at both Storrington and Steyning Libraries. Additionally it will be on-line at both County and District web-sites. The URL's given in the letter are non-specific, and we will publish the definitive addresses once we have them.
